Off-topic: Blizzard decreased the prices of everything way too much I already felt ripped off when dual-spec became g, now its down to 10g. Guess what, i bought dual spec for all 10 of my toons when they were 1k per, which means Blizz just ate 9. Post by This post was from a user who has deleted their account. Post by thelaks Thought it was ? Note: Since all mounts are account-wide, if you want another race's mount, you may find it easier to roll an alt of that race and level them to 20 to pick up the mount you're after.
But Alliance still can't get Horde mounts and vice versa. You'll typically find all mount vendors near the riding trainers. Here are your options:. Like ground mounts, these will typically be available for purchase near your Flying Trainer.
What if I don't like my race's or faction's mounts? Don't like any of your mount options? Don't worry. While the mounts for your race and faction are the most straightforward to get -- and they'll certainly help you get around -- they're far from your only option.
You can also get mounts through PvP, quests, drops, achievements, professions, reputation, buying on the Blizzard store , or winning them from rare cards in the WoW TCG. If you're looking for options, here are some of our favorites that you can get by yourself, with enough time, effort, and gold:. Netherwing Drakes: You can buy Netherwing Drakes in a variety of colors once you've reached exalted reputation with the Netherwing in Outland -- which is, we won't lie, a time-consuming grind, though there are some fun dailies, too.
They're one of many reputation mounts in Outland , but definitely our favorite. While "Heroic" makes it sound like a challenge, the fact that this dungeon is designed for level 70s means higher level characters 80 to 90 can likely complete it alone or with a friend.
Flying Carpets: If you're a tailor, you can make a number of different flying carpets for youself at higher levels. Jeweled Panthers: Jewelcrafters can create their own panther mounts out of different types of gems. Sea Turtle : This speedy aquatic mount can be pulled out of the sea by those with enough fishing skill and patience!
Comment by Adimax I just hit 80 after about 10 or so quests in the Basin out in WotLK , and I have gold saved up since level 70 I believe I started with ish. Other than training skills, and doing a little of enchant selling on the AH, I've not spent anything. After just 1 zone, or both? Thanks as always. Comment by peonwakingstick I contuie to try and save but i die more then i should and i come out with a 13g repair bill only out of dungeons other wise i have a 6g repair after 10 battles, so it is kind of hard to keep gold from having to repair lot.
Also i do mining and tailoring my tailoring is too low make any money off of , so all i can make money of is the ore i mine so how much saronite and of what price in the ah would it take to get 5kg? Comment by weezel G to go for my mage then!
Comment by Well you see grinding for the cash can be very agitating if you spend your time in the AH and not accually sell some stuff you prolly dont need my DK only had g at lvl 68 and i spent my time workin on Eng and mining and doing quest in blades edge and if you sell everything you dont need you'll come pretty close it's only been one lvl and at 69 my DK has g.
Comment by Propane Artisan Riding skill costs gold. Reputation does NOT lower the cost. Near the lake towards the center, i forget what it is called. Being a tailor is probably one of the most profitable professions on my server, at least, since they can make frostweave bags. Same with mechano hogs for engineers. Comment by FourDeuce In case anyone doesn't already know, you can get Cold Weather Riding before you have to pay the for Artisan riding.
That comes in handy if you don't have the when you hit I need information before I buy a red dragon, please! Every fourth day I also make 2 x Ebonweaves. Comment by If this were to be affected by faction discounts, then surely would exalted Kirin Tor rep not also impact the cost? As mentioned it can also be trained via NPCs in dalaran. She is the one near the inn - NOT the one in the middle, near the forge. I freaked out for two hours about not being able to train it at level 70 before realizing I was talking to the engineering trainer.
These NPCs are not present in Wowhead's database at the moment and I don't have access to a Horde character to locate their affiliated trainers. Also note Maigra's discount is based off of your Valiance Expedition reputation, while Hargen's discounts are based off of your Honor Hold status. Cold Weather Flying can only be purchased at the full gold price tag.
You need to be 77 and CWF skill free. It has it's catches, however, it helps if you are still saving up for that g blow to the head. Comment by nearmellomt The cost at different levels of rep for faction discounts are: Neutral: Friendly: Honored: Revered: Exalted: Comment by Xdoom Patch note 3. To get rep discount you have 2 area from your faction's race. Honor Hold rep. Valiance Expedition rep. Thrallmar rep. Warsong Offensive rep. Discount from your selected faction's race.
Neutral: g Friendly: g Honored: g Revered: g Exalted: g. Comment by Hairband This specifically refers to post patch 3. I heard you didn't need to do the quest line ending in defeating Ikiss in Heroic Sethekk Halls. Guess no questline is needed.
Comment by God Any suggestions? Comment by If you're exalted with Alliance Vanguard, you get a g discount, but it's still expensive either way! Comment by SequoiaBryn I can confirm that exalted status with Stormwind will get you artisan flight for g at Honor Hold. Comment by Soundfx4 I've decided to compile useful information from both comments found on wowhead and wowwiki and reply to the original comment which contains dated information.
Comment by My death knight is only honored with stormwind at lvl 70 so I think valiance expedition might be best as both borean tundra and howling fjord have ample quests for them. Comment by SirusStarseeker Okay we have Master Fling now which costs 4k gold with Exalted Reputation, and this is still the most bloody expensive riding training we have. Why don't they lower this one to like or ? User Info: adjl. Questing through Northrend will net you 1. This is my signature.
It exists to keep people from skipping the last line of my posts. User Info: slientstab. User Info: dnd I had to make the or 5k or whatever for epic flying on one of my recent alts, so I used his already maxed inscription and played the AH for a few hours each day for two days.
Some glyphs still sell for a decent amount g on my server, and if I sit there and camp the AH for an extended amount of time, I can make fairly quick money. Yea I'm 75 and still havent gotten Art-riding, after 70 you leave outland and go to northrend where you cannt even train to fly there untill 77, dont waste time now concentrating on flying when you really wont use it for another 7 lvls.
